Caitlin Hill

Clinical Psychologist

​Caitlin is a patient, approachable and kind psychologist who values a relaxed and practical approach to therapy. She has worked as a clinical psychologist for children, family and young people in education settings, health settings and private practice. Her aim is to take time and care in understanding the concerns of her clients so that therapy is individualised, and progress feels achievable.

 

Caitlin is an advocate for self-compassion and likes to incorporate this into her work with clients. She has an interest in anxiety, mood concerns, ADHD and behavioural concerns. Caitlin also has lived experience with childhood chronic health conditions and has an interest in the mental health of children and families living with chronic illness.

Caitlin’s qualifications are a Bachelor of Psychology (honours) and a Master of Clinical Psychology. Caitlin also has a Masters of Qualitative Health Research and has a strong interest in the psychological burdens of childhood chronic health conditions such as type 1 and type 2 diabetes.  She has her own lived experience with Type 1 Diabetes and welcomes children, teens and their families who are living with T1D to seek support as they manage the emotional and psychological challenges that come with this and other childhood chronic health conditions.

Caitlin is trained in the following evidence-based therapies:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) including DNA-V for children and teens

  • Accredited Cool Kids Anxiety Program facilitator 

  • Lego Connect Social Skills group facilitator 

  • Circle of Security Parenting facilitator​
