Dietetics and Nutritional Therapy

Our dietician Victoria has extensive experience working with children and families to support a healthy understanding of nutritional knowledge, to assist in sustaining healthy lifelong habits.

 

Therapy will support your child in navigating the many ways that food and nutrition interact with their physical, emotional, social and psychological health.

​Victoria can provide tailored meal plans and provide healthy recipes that are family friendly, considering factors, such as personal preference, lifestyle, budget, age, health conditions and ethnicity. She may also provide education on a range of nutrition-related topics, helping families feel empowered to make informed healthy food choices. Topics may include, portion sizing, supermarket label reading, lunch-box ideas, food-safety i.e, preparation and storage. Victoria will collaborate with families, doctors, and other healthcare professionals, such as our friendly team of psychologist, to provide comprehensive care and support for patients

Victoria works closely with families to assist children with a range of nutrition concerns:

  • General nutrition and healthy eating

  • Fussy eating or selective eating

  • Nutrient; vitamin and mineral deficiency

  • Introducing variety and new foods to child diet

  • Gut concerns, constipation, IBS, food-intolerances, allergies

  • Weight management

  • Chronic diseases; diabetes, cholesterol, obesity

  • Nutrition for pregnancy

  • Eating disorders

  • Building a positive relationship with food, creating a stress-free feeding environment
