Trishna is a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and over 18 years’ clinical experience across private, not‑for‑profit and public sectors in Australia, India and the United States.
She works with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families using a family therapy framework rooted in attachment theory. Her clinical focus includes complex trauma, parent–child attachment and family systems.
Trishna uses an eclectic, evidence‑based toolkit — a combination of therapeutic modalities applied at different stages of the therapeutic journey.
Chief among these are Non‑Directive Play Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), narrative and creative therapies.
The primary focus is on strength‑based interventions to help clients function better and build resilience in the face of triggers and stressors that cannot always be removed from their environment. She is also an accredited ADOS‑2/ADI‑R diagnostician.
In addition to private practice, Trishna consults to schools, not‑for‑profits and government agencies in India and the US. She is the founder of Up&Over — an evidence‑based program that builds psychological and physical resilience in children and adolescents through functional movement and intentional play.
